Frequently asked Questions

What security procedures do you have in place?


       * Your keys will be tagged with Active pet sitting plus and my phone no, your information will           not be recorded on them.
       * Your keys and personal information will never be given to another person.
       * A brief security check of your home will be done upon leaving your premises.
       * Hold a current police clearance.

What happens if my pet becomes ill or is injured?

       * When I meet you and your pets I will obtain information regarding your preferred vet. You will           be contacted via phone. If you can’t be contacted I will make all necessary arrangements as           per your instructions on the consent form.

Can my dog be walked off the lead?

       * I would prefer to have your dog on a lead at all times, and will use whatever method your dog           is used to ie, harness, gentle leader or collar. I do not use choker chains.

If my dog is well socialised and obedient can you go to an off leash area?

       *Absolutely. If there is a park close by I would be happy to take your dog there.

Do you carry water?

       * Fresh water is always available to your pets and is carried on all walks.

What else do you carry with you?

       * I always have my mobile phone on, a first aid kit, poo bags and dog treats.

Do you walk dogs in the rain?

       * If your dogs don’t mind, I don’t mind either.
       * They will be towel dried off at completion of walk.
       * If severe weather is forecasted, for example thunderstorms, you will be contacted.

How is payment made?

       * Payment can be made either by cash or direct deposit into Active Pet Plus’s bank account.           Bank details will be given to you upon request. Please use your name as a reference.

When is payment due?

       * For dog walking payment is to be made on the day.
       * For consecutive days at commencement of the allocated days.
       * For pet sitting full payment is required prior to your departure.

Do you charge extra on Public holidays?

       * There is a $10.00 daily surcharge for services performed on public holidays.

Do you offer any discounts?

       * Discounts are offered for 5 or more consecutive days.
       * If you refer a friend and you receive your next walk free (just make sure your friend tells us you          referred them).
